Here are some of the best recipes that use beer as a main ingredient

Beer is delicious. Food is also delicious. Why not mix the two and create something super-ultra-delicious? Yes, that's right, you can cook with beer. That's just one of the many fun facts about beer.

There are tons of different recipes that have beer as a main ingredient. Check out check out The Beeroness for some of the best beer recipes out there.

 

Here are just a couple of my favorite recipes that use beer as a main ingredient.

 

Bacon Beer Cheese Stromboli

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 25 Minutes

 

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup parmesan
  • 1 tbs cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup pale ale
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 lbs pizza dough, raw
  • 10 strips bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 tbs melted butter

Directions:

  1. Add the cream cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, cornstarch, beer, garlic powder, and salt to a blender, blend until smooth.
  2. Roll the pizza dough out on a lightly floured surface to form a rectangle.
  3. Place dough onto a sheet of parchment paper about the size of a baking sheet.
  4. Add the beer cheese to the center of the dough, sprinkle with chopped bacon, reserving about 2 tablespoons of bacon.
  5. Fold both long sides in towards the center to form a tight log, fold the short side over about two inches towards the center.
  6. Roll the log over so the seam sides are down, transfer the parchment paper onto a baking sheet.
  7. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with remaining bacon.
  8. Bake at 425 for 14-18 minutes or until golden brown.

 

One Bowl Cinnamon Sugar Beer Muffins

Cook Time: 20 Minutes

Total Time: 30 Minutes

 

For the muffins:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup wheat beer
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs

 

For the topping:

  • 2 tbs cinnamon
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tbs butter, melted

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a large bowl stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt and cinnamon.
  3. Make a well in the center, add the vanilla, wheat beer, milk, and eggs. Stir until just combined.
  4. Line muffin tin with muffin papers, spray lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Place the muffins in the oven, lower temperature to 325. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until tops spring back when lightly touched. Allow to cool.
  6. Stir together the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
  7. Dip the muffin tops in melted butter, then roll gently in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
